Ex-QPR striker finally joins on trial

Dennis Oli finally linked up with the Swansea first team for pre-season training today - and is confident that he can win a professional contract. Oli has experienced working with Kenny Jackett before, during previous campaigns at QPR, and the Swansea manager believes that he may be able to add something extra to his squad's attack.

Described as strong and quick, Oli has never scored a senior goal in his thirty-odd appearances, which include loan spells in the Conference with both Farnborough Town and Gravesend last season.

Oli was due to join the Swans for training last week but was delayed due to a family bereavement. He joins on an initial one week period, but could stay for the Dutch trip should he prove his ability.
