Austin has been a virtual ever-present in the Swansea defence this season and at the age of 32, "the doorman" may well have signed his final professional contract in South Wales. Murphy however has been limited to the odd cameo appearances in the league due to the fantastic form of Willy Gueret.
The club have also stated that the three remaining out of contract players, Leon Britton, Kris O'Leary and Izzy Iriekpen, are all close to agreeing terms.
