"We can confirm that Burnley have expressed an interested in signing Jason Scotland," Jenkins has said.
"Our valuation for a striker who has finished as our top goal-scorer in the last two seasons and Burnley's valuation is miles apart.
"We came to our valuation because Jason is a full international who has scored 53 goals in the last two seasons for us.
"I think everyone in football is well aware that we do not need to sell anyone.
"And we certainly won't let any player go for below what we think they are worth, whether that's Jason Scotland or anyone else for that matter."
